Chlorophyll vs. Chlorophyllin
Before getting into the health benefits of chlorophyll/chlorophyllin a point should be made that they are not the same. More often than not they are used interchangeably with one another, and while they do share similarities, they are in fact not one in the same. Chlorophyllin is actually a derivative of chlorophyll. It is created by removing the magnesium atom in chlorophyll and replacing it with a copper one. All other structural designs remain the same and unchanged.
While similar in build, this difference creates a fundamental separation between the two. Whereas chlorophyll is fat soluble by nature, chlorophyllin is water soluble. A water soluble compound means it has an increased bioavailability to humans; or in other words it can be absorbed into the system.
As you might think, this also plays a large role in what each is capable of doing for you. So as you go about finding a suitable chlorophyll supplement for your needs, make sure to check the ingredient label. Many times a product will be labeled as chlorophyll, but is infact using chlorophyllin as it's active ingredient. This isn't good or bad, it just depends on what your needs are.

Health Benefits of Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll has numerous individual health benefits to people. More than just the substance required for changing sunlight into energy, it has the ability to cure conditions ranging from odor to blood issues. Most importantly, it is all natural and does not contain the artificial chemicals that other products have.
Cancer - Chlorophyllin, a derivative of chlorophyll has been proven in research to prevent or stop cancer. It has the uncanny to attach to cancer causing carcinogens and remove them from the body through everyday stool movements.
Blood - Chlorophyll has a number of corresponding traits to hemoglobin. It helps with the transportation of oxygen and also has been proven to increase the production of blood in the human body. Becaues of this, it is often times given to mothers after birthing to help with the healing and recovery process. It is also given to anemia sufferers to help with iron supplement absorption.
Odor - Again, chlorophyllin has been proven through experiments to take way unwanted odors that cause bad breath, body odor, foot odor and even vaginal odor (in women). Similar to carcinogens, it also has the ability to attach to odor molecules such as sulfides and trimethylamine. These odors are neutralized and expunged from the system before they can be secreted. It works as a great natural deodorant.
Antibacterial - Chlorophyll is a known anti bacterial agent. It was often used to treat hospital wounds.
As this article shows, there are many helpful uses for chlorophyll. For the most part, it is suggested that you take between 100mg-300mg daily for best and most effective results.

Body Mint: The Cure For Ketosis Breath
Low carb dieting often times can result in bad breath odor or more commonly referred to as ketosis breath. This occurs because meats, chicken, seafood and beans are high in compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, diallyl sulfide and trimethylammine. These compounds are commonly associated with bad breath and halitosis.
Eating a lot of foods that are high in these compounds with undoubtedly lead to a change in breath odor; and body odor for that matter.
These odor compounds get absorbed into the blood and organs and are dispersed through skin and other openings like the mouth.
Because they originate from within the body, no amount of brushing, mints, gums or mouthwash is going to help.
Body Mint is one option to combating ketosis breath. It is able to absorb those odor compounds before they can be absorbed into the body.

Natural Deodorant Options
The need for a natural deodorant is at an all time high. As health concerns grow over possible long term health effects caused by certain chemicals found in many popular deodorant and antiperspirants, people have begun looking for alternate solutions to keeping body odor at bay.
There are several options to choose from. One of the most popular is the crystal rock deodorant. Using mineral salts, it's regarded as an effective means of controlling unwanted underarm odor.
Lavanilla, Burt's Bees and Tom's of Maine are examples of companies that make conventional roll on deodorants, but ones that do not contain parabens, aluminum and some of the other controversial chemicals found in other deodorants.
A third option are chlorophyllin based products like Body Mint. Chlorophyllin has long been known for it's odor absorbing properties, in addition to many other benefits. Used by doctors as far back as the 1950s, it is a natural deodorant which can be administered internally.
While roll on, spray deodorants and the crystal rock are topical, chlorophyllin works on the inside. In fact, much of the body odor and bad breath causes stem from internal factors. From hormonal changes, to stress and even from the foods that people eat, smelly odor from within often makes it's way to the surface. Whereas topical deodorants are meant to counter act the effects of odor caused by the byproduct of bacteria breaking down sweat, chlorophyllin absorbs malodors before they are emitted from inside the body.
As was mentioned earlier, a great benefit of chlorophyllin based products is that because it works internally, it helps with bad breath odor in addition to body odor. For example, bad breath can be caused by what are known as volatile sulfur compounds. Certain types of these compounds are found in high concentrations in things like garlic and onions. As we digest these foods, these compounds are absorbed into the blood and organs. They eventually are emitted through the skin and other openings. That is why after eating garlic, no matter how much you brush, the garlic smells stays on your breath for a few days.
So, if finding a natural deodorant is on your to do list, here are a few examples of healthy options that are readily available. They are all proven and effective methods to helping with body odor, and in the case of chlorophyllin, bad breath as well!

The World We Live In
It seems like everywhere we look, some guy in a white lab coat is discovering why another thing we've incorporated into our daily lives is now a health risk for us. I mean, what is going on in the world? Has it really come to this?
I recently read an article on why milk is bad for you... milk! Something about how it's not an intended source of nutrition after a certain age past infancy. The article cited the fact that humans are the only living things to purposely consume milk into adult hood. I guess technically that makes sense, but come on, it's milk!
I was with a few friends having some drinks when one of them brought up this whole aluminum in antiperspirants, parabens in deodorants, tetrasmetrachlyme in my whatchadoodle. She said that she doesn't shave her armpits anymore because studies show that the microabrasions caused by the razor open the door for harmful chemicals from her deodorant/antiperspirant to enter her body. At first I was like, seriously? Then she went on and on about how studies show that there is a higher concentration of aluminum and parabens in the fat cells of women who shave, and that these chemicals are cancerous carcinogens. I guess that makes sense. Then she started talking about the benefits of natural deodorant alternatives. I sarcastically asked her if I need to worry since I don't shave my pits. She punched me.
From toothpaste, to shampoo, to a bar of soap, to deodrants, to the food we eat, it seems like nothing is safe.
I was told not to each salt water fish more than once a week. I love sushi! They said becaues the oceans are so polluted, everything has sky high levels of mercury. The plankton absorb it, the small things eat the plankton, small fish eat the small things, bigger fish eat the small fish... and all that circle of life stuff. Ultimately the conclusion is that big fish now contain high amounts of mercury which of course can lead to brain issues as you get older.
Personally, I think a vegan or an animal lover is making this stuff up.
